I just clicked over to Amanda's blog and saw the picture she has on her sidebar of her in the eyebrows I sent her a while ago. And it made me a little sad that I didn't do what I normally do when I buy a gift for someone that I would love for myself - which is to keep it. Because those things are hilarious.*
Does anyone else do this? This is why I don't buy presents for people until the day of their party. Because there is a very good chance that I will decide to just hold onto it instead. It's a horrible habit, I know. And I really can't tell you how many times I've done this. It's a lot. Especially to my best friend Cynde. I can't help it if we have very similar taste in things. We're best friends for crying in the mud! We're suppose to be like that. Usually around her birthday I start pulling out things that I have picked up for her over the year and go through and decide what to give her and what to keep for myself. Shameful.
I'm telling you this because maybe I'm feeling a little guilty for all those times when a friend has said, "Hey! That's such a cute bag," and I would be all, "I know," and secretly remembering that I had bought it for their last birthday. It has happened more than once.
*The reason why I did send them to Amanda was because I knew that she would appreciate them better than most people and would take pictures of herself wearing them that she would post on her blog. Mission accomplished.

Anything to make you proud, Rachel. Unfortunately those pictures didn't make a blog debut when I received them. They somehow got lost on my computer. I'll do a well deserved blog for the many looks found in that little package of joy.
I'm afraid I'm guilty of this too, but not to worry! My parents were out this past week so I sent them home with your b-day gift. I think they're planning to bring it to the Saturday session of stake conference so make sure to look for them!
Story of my life. lol.
I'm pretty sure half the purses I own I bought for you. Good intentions, right? Or, the thought counted for a while, at least...I also found a stack of birthday cards and letters that somehow never got sent to you. Some even had stamps on them. Sorry. But what's life for, if not to try to do better, right? This year I'll be extra careful to get a card sent out by October. Or December.
I have never thought of this. Good idea Rach! Except, all Hayden wants for his b-day is a car or motorcycle. I'm pretty sure I don't want another one of those. How can I convince him he needs a size 8 pair of Dansko sandals?
Wow! That is a much thriftier idea. Since we love the same things...if I really must have something I bought you, I end up buying two. Hmmm...like the birthday presents I bought for you this year. Ha Ha Ha! (that is my best impression of a devious laugh online)
On a side note...J. McAvoy IS quite the tasty morsel. Can you get Shameless on Netflix?
LOL I had someone do that to me, a male-ish someone. He bought my Christmas, New Years, Valentine's Day and birthday (which is in April) presents when we started dating... in August... actually I don't think we'd gone on our first date yet. And when I didn't fling myself at him on our first date, he decided to keep all my gifts.
