O'Clock

Hey, remember jeremyandkelly.blogspot.com? How I called them out? Well, Kelly was nice enough to introduce herself (See, it's lovely when you introduce yourself. New friends!) and let me in on her cute blog and I was over there reading one of her posts where she did one of those things where you come up with silly names for yourself by combinging two things. Like your Hippie name is your favorite fruit and an article of clothing you're wearing (so mine would be Banana Pajamas.) You've all see these, right? But one of them was to come up with your TV Weatherman name by combining the last name of your 5th grade teacher with a city starting with the same letter. Which means that my TV Weatherman name would be O'Clock Orlando. Because my 5th grade teacher's name was Tim O'Clock. No joke. He was really tall and looked like Art Garfunkel, complete with the white man afro, and he drove a Karmann Ghia. He holds a special place in my heart for introducing me to The Outsiders and for cheering me up and bandaging my knee when I fell during a heated game of four-square which I subsequently lost.

Incidentally, is anyone up for a four-square tournament? I've got the big rubber ball, the sidewalk chalk and the mad skills. Who's with me?

My Hippie name would be Strawberry Swimsuit (kinda sounds like an alcoholic beverage) and my weather women name is Sheldon Springfield.

My weatherman name would be Masterson Miami. My Hippi name would be Banana Stretchypants. Or Banana Anklesocks. This is fun!

Chris' weather name would be Mudget Manchester and mine would be Cauvel Calgary.

I want to testify that Mr. O'Clock was the tallest man ever, and he had a serious white man's afro.

I'm on for four-square if you can squeeze a quick drive to Ogden in. My driveway is perfect, and I've been dying for a good game since the snow started dumping on us. (By the way, it's 70 degrees and sunny today--no more snow.)

Hey - this is fun. My hippie name isn't so good...Apple Button Up or Strawberry Knee Highs just doesn't have the same ring as some of the others though.

My Weaterhman name is Madison Monterey. That one's good! I'm SO going in to a new line of work!!

Peace, I'm Passion-Fruit Flip-Flops. Some day I want to be on TV, so for now I pretend in my bathroom mirror, holding my brush, "That's it for the weather. I'm Monte Maui, and thanks for joining us here on Channel 1 news, where you are always our number 1 priority."

Ooooh... I would be Strawberry Scrubpants and Thomas Tacoma. Actually, my teacher got married the next year and could be Carson Carson (Carson City, Nevada, or Cali). Count me in for some four square, I can get a little aggressive, so beware!! Oh, and the white-man fro thing..ummm, yeah... reminds me of my "Childhood fears" blog. Hopefully he wasn't wearing spandex too.

My weatherman name would be Mazza Memphis. My hippie name would be Kiwi Pajamas. Not quite as catchy as Banana Pajamas.

I have the worst memory for things that a person should actually remember (but, I have the best memory for things of complete unimportance). That being said, I have no idea who my 5th grade teacher was. I can only remember 6th grade, so, I’m going to use that.

I’d be Wharton Wilmington on weather.

And my hippie name would be Pear Pants.
