Oh, these are my casual glasses

While flipping through a magazine I came across an article on how to do a mini makeover just by changing some things about your eyes like plucking your eyebrows or going bold with your shadow.  One of the makeover candidates had a pair of eyeglasses that the good people of the magazine thought were "too casual".  Too casual?  Is this a thing?  I did not realize that glasses have a level of casualness.  Are some styles the equivalent of cutoff shorts and flip flops?  What makes glasses fancy?  Rhinestones?  If there are no cutoffs or rhinestones how are we suppose to know if the glasses are appropriate for the opera?  I would not be so interested in this if the gal's glasses did not look exactly like mine.  But they did!

I've been walking around wearing laundry-day glasses.

I think this is one thing that confuses me about fashion. I actually love looking pretty and feeling dressed up, but I don't necessarily think my nail polish needs to match my outfit or that flip flops are evil (especially being pregnant in a Phoenix summer). I don't have any opinions on fancy glasses (since I don't wear glasses). Rules allude me sometimes.

I was really hoping by the title of this post, that it would include a picture of the blue star sunglasses! Now those are no casual glasses my friend. P.S. did you wear a hat at any point of your train journey?

Glasses really are tricky. Like when I went to pick mine out I saw a pair I really liked that had black frames, and I thought, "Are these supposed to match my clothes? Because I wear an awful lot of brown. But these are adorable and fit my face right." Then I just got them, because, who cares, right? Apparently fashion experts care. The way I use my glasses, they are braless in PJs glasses. So ultra-casual?

I agree with Amanda - after I saw the title, I totally expected to see The Blue Sunglasses. Even though, to me, they are completely mortifying!

Give my friend a glue gun and some Michael's gemstones and she'll bling your glasses right up. They will remove skin and hair and get tangled in passing trees, but you will have the fashion.
