Stocking Winner!!!!

I actually had the drawing on Christmas Day (Katie insisted on pulling the name. It was my present to her.) but I didn't post because I barely made it out of my pajamas and off of the couch until now because if you can't spend Christmas weekend almost entirely in your jim-jams then when can you?

So, the winner of the Great Christmas Stocking Giveaway is:

Stephanie, my dear friend from Way Back When. Stephanie, who was my constant and beloved companion at girls camp. What would I have done at girls camp without Stephanie? Oh, the fun we had. Here's one of my favorite girls camp memories of Stephanie: We were in some sort of team competition that involved one girl from each team stuffing her mouth with as many marshmallows as possible and Stephanie volunteered for our team and DOMINATED! She may have gotten 20 jumbo marshmallows in her mouth. And it may have been the proudest I have ever been of any of my friends.

Let me know what you would like Stephanie.

Congrats to her, but dang! I wanted that stocking. Maybe next time.

Now I've gotta go get some marshmallows. Anything to make Rachel proud. I actually was talking to a friend about this very kind of competition and decided that it will be one of the events at my next birthday party. BYOM.

It helps that Stephanie has a really big fat mouth. Tee hee.

Oh crud, remember the night we were out past curfew (yeah, which night?) and we witnessed pretty much every adult leader pile into a van to chase off some boys who had snuck into camp, so of course we ran to every cabin yelling "pillow fight" and organized a giant middle-of-the-night fight on the baseball diamond? One of the triumphs of my teenage years.

Colleen, that may be the Single Greatest Girls Camp Moment in the History of All Girls Camp Moments Forever and Ever Amen.

Yea!! I'm a winner, I'm a winner!! I didn't get back to you quick only because my internet access was spotty but now I realize that I'm a winner. I feel so honored.

I think it was you that made girls camp so enjoyable. I always felt like I just went along for the ride with you - laughing and giggling the whole time.

I don't know what to choose! Obviously I need something with the devilish metallic thread - but other than that I just don't know what to choose. Maybe the stay-puft marshmallow man (Ghostbusters themed!)? Let me know if it's funny enough.

Love you!

I"m just now becoming human again after pneumonia and being stuck in icy Ohio. I'm still in Ohio, but recovering from the no-no-pneumonia.

Congratulations Stephanie!!! Enjoy your artistic creation...keep it under lock and key, tho... :)
