It's like an orange on a toothpick

1. I saw the word Hottentot in the newspaper this morning and it made me laugh out loud. I love that word. Mostly because it's funny. But also because it reminds me of Mary Poppins when Admiral Boom yells out, "We're being attacked by Hottentots! Cheeky Devils!"

2. Here's another one of my baby pictures that makes me laugh.

Because could my head be any bigger? Knights of Columbus! In my other baby picture I'm offering you an egg roll. Here I am wishing you a Happy Chinese New Year.

3.) Speaking of the Chinese, I watched this fascinating documentary last night called Hebrew Lessons which followed several immigrant students in a Hebrew class in Israel and I was legitimately surprised by the number of Chinese people trying to get into that country. Any theories as to why this is?

4.) I feel like it's time for another giveaway. How about another Mr. T bookmark? Tell me what you had for dinner last night and you're entered in the contest. You have until Thursday at noon. I had vegetable stir fry. It was mediocre so I'm trying to talk myself into eating the left overs so as not to be wasteful. It's a tough sell.

Come on Unlucky Comment #1!!! I really want Mr. T keeping my spot in books!

I ate at Granite City last night and had Idaho Nachos and some kids pasta thing. AWESOMELY good.

We were craving Indian last night, so obviously our favorite Indian restaurant was closed - and we settled for Mexican. I had some amazing carnitas that still didn't live up to the korma I wanted. The end.

That's really weird. I'm reading a book right now and there's a dog in it named Hottentot. What are the chances?
Giveaway information (I WILL win this time): Scrambled eggs on a bagel.

Re: You vegetable stir fry
Three months ago I made vegetable soup. Upon finishing the soup, I realized I didn't want to eat it, poured it into a freezer bag, and shoved it, you guessed it, into the freezer. I haven't touched it since.
I then had scrambled eggs on toast for dinner.

Um, that should read, "Re: YouR vegetable stir fry".

I am not calling YOU a vegetable stir fry.

We had pancakes with homemade strawberry syrup and powdered sugar, and also some bacon and OJ.

On a side note: For family home evening we played "Who Am I?" and for the 1st round, Jared was Mr. T, so if I win, he'll get the bookmark.

There are few things in the world that cheer me up more than a picture of you as a baby! Thank you!!
To answer the give-away question, I had cereal for dinner. Sorry it's not that exciting.
But for dinner tonight, I made Whitney's yummy, yummy, yummy Thai Veggie Wraps!!! You must go make these quickly. Delicious!

People are so keen to win your bookmark they're making multiple entries with their comments.

I had spaghetti pie. For the second night in a row.

Tonight I had A bowl broiled fish on rice with black beans. The fish was 1/2 flame broiled and 1/2 teriyake sauce covered. Yummers. We ate at Yahoo's Tacos, if anyone is aware of that restaurant. Oh my goodness...what a treat. And the people that work there are the nicest people on the planet.

I'm still coveting your big head. And for the record, I can still wear my 2 year old grandson's baseball cap. And it fits. Perfectly. Will the shame ever end?

I made a Hungry Girl recipe called Sloppy Joe-chiladas. Basically a healthy sloppy joe filling wrapped up in a corn tortilla. Pretty good actually.

First of all, I love the title of your post. It makes me want to watch that movie. Also, I don't know that I've seen that baby picture. It's awesome.

Last night we had Hawaiian haystacks for dinner. They were really good. I don't really make mine Hawaiian, though, because I don't really like canned pineapple. It gives me the heebs.

Lamb tacos...mmmmmm...

Just for the record, tonight was the very first time in the history of the world as I know it that I have ever seen the words "lamb" and "taco" in the same sentence. Ever.

I stand all amazed.
