Merry Christmas from Me and Richard!

A long time ago, actually way back in January, there was a shindig at my place and I was working on the early stages of a stocking that I showed to my friends. I didn't have anyone in mind for it so I casually said, "Anyone want it?" And Hannah's hand shot up. I noted it in my memory and then folded up the stocking and placed it in the desk that stores the World's Largest Felt Collection and promptly forgot about it until, oh, last week. So I contacted Hannah and said, "Do you remember...?" and she was all, "Duh. Yes!" and I finished it last night and told her to come on over and behold:

Hannah is now the proud owner of a Richard Simmons stocking.
Here, have a closer look:

And even closer, so that you can see how sparkly he is.
And also how uncomfortably short his shorts are.
Merry Christmas from me and Richard!

Your felt work is awesome - I truly don't know if Richard or Mr. T is the best... but I know I'd love to have either one.

I used to work for Richard Simmons...the doctor, not the short shorts guy. But MY Richard Simmons had a FRAMED LETTER from the felt Richard Simmons...wild...

I don't know how you get felt to comply so well with your hands, eyes and mind. It's amazing. I'm still on board with the framed felt celebrity set. I think it's hysterically campy. Truly. You could auction it off for your favorite charity. If it's easier, you could put all the celebrities on one piece of felt and just frame that. You could do "Dancing With the Stars" at the end of each season and put the winner in the middle...you know? Something like that..Really. Here...let me tell you how to run your life...

Think about it. And I love the sparkles. And you. You're wonderful. I have so much fun with this blog and your friends. And yeesh, now with your family's blog. We've decided to start a blog for 2010 with our family. See what you've done? :)

Love. Love. Love. Love. Love! Richard has been a HUGE hit round these parts! I wish I knew more languages so I could say you're the best in all of them!

That is AMAZING!!! I love it! You truly have a gift with felt and sparkles. And B-list celebs. Have you considered a Gary Coleman stocking? It could be a kid's stocking because it would be a little smaller. (I'm short, so I can make short jokes.) I like the DWTS idea, too. You are a creative genius, and I'm very jealous of Hannah.

You should have these available in your Etsy shop if you don't already...

Is there a type of felt fabric that changes color when it is held up to light a certain way? If so I think you should consider making a Sammy Sosa stocking.

Fabulous job on this one!

You are one talented lady!

Have you ever done a memorial felt creation? Like the creepy names with their birth and death dates that people put on the backs of cars? I think that would be hilarious to do dead b-actors and the dates and everything.

Am I deranged or what?

Who do I have to murder to get one of these? Seriously, I'll do it.

Honestly, I love it. You're a genius.
