Kylea is great. She's sassy and funny. And she gets the joke - which is not really a requirement to join the family but makes our jobs a whole lot easier.
It was a wonderful weekend filled with highlights. But here's just one. We had a brunch for everyone before we went to the temple. There were two key features:
1.) The centerpieces made of Cupcakes and Ding Dongs,
2.) The "pants optional" memo that only Ben seemed to get:
We certainly know how to throw a party.
Welcome to the Fam, Kylea! Things you can look forward to include but are not limited to: free massages from Lindsay, magical Sunday night popcorn, impromptu head-measuring, Dodger Baseball, and more Seinfeld references then you could possibly imagine.

Hooray for Seinfeld references! I make at least one per day. And Pants Optional events! woohoo!
Oh, and is it true that Ding Dongs are called King Dons in other parts of the country? Because I lived in Ohio for a while, and I'm pretty sure they were called King Dons there. I live in Texas now and haven't looked for them at the store to check, but I think I will next time I go. Is this anyone else's recollection or did I dream it?
Ditto to a great weekend!
Yeah congrats! What a beautiful family you all have.
I always thought the world needed more Knechts too. Congratulations to your family, you all look so happy. But then again, when are the Knechts not happy? :)
Congrats to Casey and Kylea. I love the ding dong center pieces. Talk about awesome. Did the guests get to snack on them? Pants optional is always in effect at our house. It's really the only way to make it through the summer. Cute pictures. I wanted to see more of your dress, though.
Oh my word, you left out one of the funnest things about being in the family...YOUR BLOG AND THE OPPORTUNITY TO BE ONE OF THE ENTRIES!!!!!
Congratulations to Casey and best wishes to Kylea. They're in for some wonderful times and laughter, I'm certain.
And FabuLeslie-I'm also from Ohio and I do seem to remember Ding Dongs being called King Dons. In fact, their logo was a little chocolate king, wasn't it? Whatever happened to that? Must have been a regional thing. Central Ohio was a test market for lots of things so maybe it "tested out"...
I am SOOO bummed that I missed it. I still consider myself a Knecht so I can FEEL the addition no matter how far away I was. All the pictures look great and its pretty impossible not to have a blast with you Rachel. I actually checked your blog to see if there was going to be a story that referenced that blast we had while doing your hair last week. But thankfully, my spray hasn't been revealed yet :) Love you!
I. Love. Your. Family. !!!.
