At church on Sunday we all stood and sang the Star-Spangled Banner with loads of gusto and conviction. On the third verse, on that last, "O'er the land of the freeeeeee..." someone in the congregation hit the super high note and I very nearly shot my fist in the air and shouted, "AMERICA!!!"

We sing that every year, and I always get misty and want to do something super patriotic, and now when we sing it, I'm going to think of you with your fist in the air shouting, "America!" and probably start giggling. I still can't make it through Scatter Sunshine.
This made me laugh out loud. Some things are as funny to think about as if they had actually happened.

NZ isn't quite as patriotic -- at least not in the same ways.
It's sad.
